What Kwechi is

One plan, for one child

Kwechi is one place where a parent designs a curriculum for their own child and then runs it, day after day, from before birth to twenty-five.

You start by describing the child you are raising: what you want him to learn, how much of it is books and how much is sport, which languages he will grow up inside, and what you believe about raising him. Kwechi calls that an archetype. From it, the product builds a plan — what to read aloud today, what to say in your own language, what to watch, what to do with your hands, when to sleep and eat, and what to practise this week.

It is four things at once, and they were always meant to be one thing.

• A school. An age-adaptive curriculum, where every card says why it matters for this child and what the child does with it before anything he recites.
• A library. Videos, books and public-domain texts, read and watched inside Kwechi. What already exists is found and organised rather than made again.
• A coach. Movement, drills and disciplines inside published paediatric guidance, with a diagram before the video and a schedule that fits your family's week.
• A teacher for the parent. Most of what Kwechi asks you to do is something you do, not something a screen does. Before eighteen months that is all of it.

Every sentence on these five pages was written against the code that runs Kwechi, so that what you read here is the product as it is built rather than a product somebody imagined.

Who it is for

The parent is the user. You hold the account. You type what Kwechi knows. You decide what happens.

Children do not have accounts here. A child does not sign up, does not agree to anything, and never types personal information into Kwechi. Everything the product knows about your child, an adult in your family told it. A child view, when it is built, will open on your session and be unlocked by you. From about thirteen a linked login inside your own family account may be offered; if it is, your teenager will be told plainly what you can see.

A family is the boundary. Every row of data carries the identifier of the family it belongs to, and the database decides who may read it — a rule on every table, not a rule written on a screen, which is why a mistake in a page cannot leak across it.

Three qualifications, because "cannot" is a word this product should not use lightly. A mistake in a rule can leak across, and one did: two repairs in September 2026 exist because an administrator's claim could reach other families' records. There are two deliberate crossings, both about a published template's philosophy and beliefs, and the privacy page names them. And one person can reach everything regardless — the founder, through the database's own dashboard. The privacy page says all of this at length and you should read it there rather than take this paragraph as the whole answer.

What Kwechi is trying to do

Two people at once. The child is learning; the parent is learning how to teach him. The daily plan is written for both: it tells you what to read, what to say, what to look for and what to do, and it says why. Where the child is too young for a screen, the whole product speaks to you instead.

It reaches past school subjects on purpose. Academics, athletics, character and languages sit in one plan, because the founder's view is that they are one upbringing and splitting them into separate apps is what makes each of them shallow. Igbo and English run side by side from birth. Movement starts as play. Character is practised, not examined.

What Kwechi will never do

These are not aspirations. Each one is either enforced in code, or it is a thing that does not exist in this product at all.

• No advertising, no tracking, no analytics product. There is no advertising code and no analytics package installed anywhere in this app. Your family is not the product, and nothing here is sold or shared with a data broker. What that does not mean: when a card carries a video or a picture, your browser fetches it from Google, the Wikimedia Foundation, Project Gutenberg or the Internet Archive, and that server sees your address before you click. The privacy page lists every one.
• Nobody grades a baby. Below eighteen months Kwechi produces no score, no grade and no status about your child — the milestone table has no column for a score and no column for a "not yet", and marking a card done writes "begun", never "mastered". It does hold measurements you enter yourself: height, weight, an injury, a physician's note, and the minutes a baby spent moving. Those are your records of your child, not a judgement on him.
• No "your child is behind." Ticking a milestone records that you saw something, on a date. There is no place to store a "not yet", so nothing can count what your child has not done or colour it red.
• No diagnosis, no prescription. Kwechi is not a doctor. It does not assess, screen, diagnose or treat anything, and it will not prescribe a diet, a dose or a training load.
• No sparring, at any age, and no head contact under eighteen. Not a rule written on a screen: a drill's contact level can only be none, pads or controlled grappling, so there is no sparring to schedule. Other training limits are weaker than that, and the safety page sorts them — the heading limit in particular is guidance, and nothing refuses a record that breaks it.
• Nothing copyrighted rehosted. Where a licence allows it, you read the whole thing here. Where it does not, it plays in its owner's own player or the card sends you out, and the screen tells you which and why.
• The AI never writes to your plan on its own. It proposes; our own code checks the proposal against the rules; you confirm; only then does anything change.
• No silent monitoring of a child.

Who is behind it

Kwechi is built and run by one person, in Boston, Massachusetts. Today it is used by his own family.

There is no company behind Kwechi, and these pages carry no legal name, postal address, telephone number or email address. That matters to you in one practical way: every remedy described across these five pages, from taking a copy of your family's data to sending a copyright notice, ends at an address that has not been published. See "How to reach us" at the foot of any of them. Before a second family joins, these pages will name the entity, the address, the telephone number and the email address to write to, and the one person you can ask what is held about your child.

And because one person runs it: there is no successor arrangement and no escrow. If Kwechi stops, you would be told — and you can take a complete copy of your family's record yourself, today, from Settings, without asking anybody. The privacy and terms pages say so at length, because it is the kind of thing that should not be discovered late.

• Terms of use — what you may do here, what you may not, what happens to your things, and what is not promised.
• Safety and limits — the training, health and development page. Read this one before your child trains.
• What you may upload — your own books, videos, photographs and recordings: what may go in, who can see it, and what Kwechi will remove.

What Kwechi does not do

The edges of the product, so that nothing above is read as more than it is.

• There is no company, no registered address and no named privacy contact, so every remedy these five pages describe ends at an address that has not been published.
• Deleting one voice recording removes the record and leaves the audio file. Only deleting a child profile or the whole family sweeps the files — and then the files go before a single row does.
• "Deleted" means deleted now, and out of the database platform's own backups on the platform's own schedule. That schedule is not Kwechi's to set, and these pages do not put a number on it.
• Passing the weekly training ceiling records a warning and shows it to nobody. No screen reads it. The safety page sets out which limits refuse a record and which are guidance.
• Nothing happens automatically when a child turns eighteen, and nothing decides for two adults in one family who disagree. What exists is a thirty-day notice on ending a family and a copy in every parent's hands.
• There is no takedown page, and no copyright agent registered with the US Copyright Office. A notice is read by the person who runs Kwechi; the uploads page sets out what to send.
• There is no child-facing screen. Nothing on this page describes a screen a child uses, because there is not one.

How to check this page

Each claim above is kept by a specific piece of the product, and this is where to look.

• The family boundary and the three qualifications on it: row-level security on every table, 0002_identity.sql and each table's own migration; the tenancy tests in supabase/tests/; the two deliberate crossings in 0007_archetypes.sql and 0023_invite_preview_and_template_beliefs.sql; and the repairs in 0045 and 0046, which exist because an admin claim reached other families' rows.
• No advertising or analytics: apps/web/package.json carries no analytics or advertising dependency. What the browser does fetch from other companies: apps/web/src/components/media/youtube-player.tsx and media-rows.tsx, against the addresses in supabase/seed/library.*.sql.
• Nothing graded below eighteen months: supabase/migrations/0041_milestone_observation.sql (no score column and no negative state), apps/web/src/lib/curriculum/done-status.ts, and athletic_log_guard() in 0043_athletics_infant_logging.sql as replaced by 0045_infant_log_whitelist_audit_tenancy.sql. What is stored: growth_measurements in 0010_athletics.sql.
• No sparring value exists: the contact_level check on drills in 0010_athletics.sql.
• The training limits, and which of them refuse a record: check_weekly_load(), current body in 0045, with the phase caps seeded into age_phases. The safety page sorts them.
• Nothing rehosted: apps/web/src/lib/media/capabilities.ts and the content_never_rehost constraint in 0008_content_library.sql.
• The AI proposes and you confirm: apps/web/src/lib/ask/rules.ts, re-checked at the moment you apply.
• No child login exists: members_child_gate() in 0006_children.sql.
• Files go before rows on any deletion: complete_deletion_purge() in 0054_purge_and_audit_retention.sql.
